Our Mission

It is our mission to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets in our community. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for animals. We believe each animal's life is meaningful and each deserves a loving home. We take responsibility for every animal rescued and placed through 4 PAWS RESCUE NSW for the rest of their natural lives.

We are dedicated to the rescue of unwanted, abandoned, neglected or abused companion animals that

(i) pass a standardised temperament evaluation that indicates the animal meets our criteria for sound temperament and adoptability, and

(ii) are in need of our assistance.

The companion animals assisted by 4 PAWS RESCUE NSW may be suffering from cruelty, abuse, neglect or abandonment. 4 PAWS RESCUE NSW’S priority is to assist those animals considered in need of assistance by Council animal shelters. When 4 PAWS RESCUE NSW has resources available, we may also assist with the rehoming of companion animals from owners who are unable or otherwise unwilling to provide for the appropriate care of their companion animals.

4 PAWS RESCUE NSW’S mission is to care for and find loving permanent homes for companion animals in need of rescue assistance. 4 PAWS RESCUE NSW will not refuse its services to any companion animal in need of immediate care or attention, provided we have the space in which to humanely and safely house these animals, the financial resources to care for the animals and that the animal’s temperament is deemed sound.

4 PAWS RESCUE NSW undertakes to foster abandoned, neglected, abused, ill and/or injured companion animals in a loving, emotionally stable, clean environment, providing quality nutrition and necessary medical and/or veterinary care until a permanent adopting home can be found.

  • seeing an end to puppy mills and pet stores that sell puppies or kittens from mills
